Minot AFB Barracks

There is unaccompanied housing available to Airmen from the ranks of E1 to E3 or E4 with fewer than three years of service. All Airmen will be provided a private sleeping room with furnishings, linens and supplies. There are four dormitories in which four private rooms will share a common living and kitchen space. Nine dormitories offer units in which two sleeping rooms will share a bathroom, while common areas and kitchens are down the hall. Amenities include TV and reading rooms, day rooms with billiards, foosball and ping pong tables as well as a common laundry room. Wait times for every base vary depending on the time of year and availability, so the first step is always to call the Military Housing Office. Minot AFB Housing Options

There are three neighborhoods on Minot AFB. All are pet-friendly, but there are some breed restrictions and households are usually limited to two animals. Common amenities include a community center, dog park, indoor and outdoor playgrounds, multipurpose courts, running trails, indoor splash pad, lawn care, maintenance and snow-removal services. Note: Even though some neighborhoods may include all ranks, only certain units within that neighborhood may be available to certain ranks. Though some neighborhoods are open to all ranks, certain floor plans may be restricted to those of higher rank.

1. North Point

Ranks: E1-E8, Military Retirees This neighborhood of three- and four-bedroom homes features patios, master suites and garages. The neighborhood is an easy walk to the commissary and base exchange and features walking trails, playground and park, and plenty of open green space.

2. Prairie Rose Estates

Ranks: E1-E8. O1-O5, Military Retirees This neighborhood has two- to four-bedroom homes with ample closet space and storage, a garage, patio, deck and fully equipped kitchen. The neighborhood is close to the main gate, Memorial Middle School and Dakota West Elementary School. The neighborhood also has a community center, indoor splash park, dog park and multiple playgrounds.

3. Sunflower

Ranks: E1-E9. O1-O6, Military Retirees This neighborhood has two- to four-bedroom homes with walk-in closets, garage, and ample closets and storage space. The neighborhood has multiple playgrounds and is close to the North Plains Elementary School, the commissary, the exchange and fitness center.
